Rabbi Avraham Bloch

One of the Advising Rabbis at Orthodox-Conversion.com

Rabbi Avraham Bloch received his rabbinic ordination (semicha) from Rabbi Ovadia Yosef zt"l and studied at Porat Yosef Yeshiva in Jerusalem.

For more than 40 years he has guided candidates through Orthodox conversion (giyur).

His Role

Rabbi Bloch is one of the advising rabbis at Orthodox-Conversion.com. He guides candidates on what to study and how to practice, helps them prepare for their appearance before the Beit Din, and writes the articles on this site about Orthodox conversion.

His Approach

Every conversion is decided by an independent Beit Din, and Rabbi Bloch does not shortcut Jewish law. His focus is on preparing each candidate properly, so they arrive at the Beit Din ready, with knowledge and a real commitment to Jewish life.
